KingsWood Day Nursery opened its doors over 22 years ago, and since then the magic, memories, and laughter have continued to flow through the lives of hundreds of children and families.
Our nursery is set within a beautiful old village school building, rich in history and heart. This special place has been part of our family for generations once attended by my father and grandfather, and later by my own sons, who walked the same floors and played in the same fields (albeit slightly changed with time). That deep-rooted connection shapes everything we are today.
As a setting, we are passionate about childhood, the real, meaningful, joyful kind. Inspired by my own children, KingsWood has evolved to embrace the natural world as a core part of our ethos. We believe children should experience the simple, powerful joys of exploring, discovering, and getting a little muddy along the way.
We provide an environment where your child can grow without the pressure of growing up too quickly, we value imagination and creativity. A cardboard box can become a rocket, a table can transform into a boat, and the outdoors becomes a limitless classroom full of wonder.
Our approach is underpinned by our philosophy "where becoming an achiever is inevitable" Through a carefully designed, purposeful curriculum and strong, nurturing relationships, we support every child to thrive, explore, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
