Our Inclusion Statement

At KingsWood, we believe that everyone deserves to feel valued, respected, and inspired. We are proud to be a fully inclusive setting where diversity is celebrated and every child is supported to thrive. Our philosophy is simple: a place "where becoming an achiever is inevitable"

We are committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of background, ability, need, or starting point have equal access to high-quality learning experiences through our strong, streamlined curriculum. We recognise that every child is unique, and we tailor our provision to meet individual needs, helping each child grow in confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Our practice is underpinned by key early years legislation and guidance, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework, the Equality Act 2010, and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice (SEND Code of Practice). These frameworks guide our commitment to inclusive practice, ensuring that all children are supported and protected.

We work in close partnership with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need. Through strong relationships, thoughtful adaptations, and a nurturing environment, we remove barriers to learning and create opportunities for every child to succeed.

At KingsWood inclusion is not just a policy, it is part of who we are. We create a culture where differences are welcomed, achievements are celebrated, and every child is empowered to flourish.

Confidentiality

Here, at KingsWood, we understand the importance of privacy and are fully committed to keeping all personal information safe, secure, and confidential. We treat all information relating to children, families, and practitioners with the utmost respect and sensitivity.

We comply with all relevant data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This ensures that any personal data we collect is processed lawfully, stored securely, and only used for its intended purpose.

Information is only shared on a need-to-know basis and, where appropriate, with parental consent. The only exception to this is when there is a safeguarding concern, where we have a legal duty to share information in line with the Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance to protect a child’s welfare.

All staff are trained in confidentiality and data protection and understand their responsibility to maintain discretion at all times. Records are stored securely, and access is limited to authorised personnel only.

We are committed to building trust with our families and ensuring that your information, and your child’s information, is handled with care, professionalism, and integrity at all times.

My husband and I have been extremely impressed by KingsWood and all the staff.

We feel extremely confident leaving our son in your care and know he receives the highest care and attention. He settled very quickly into KingsWood which I believe is due to the care of the staff. When we drop him off he immediately goes to play and is happy and settled. There are always so many activities for him to do such as water play, paint, sand and he loves being outside. KingsWood is a fantastic environment for any child. My husband and I know that our son will be educated and nurtured in this environment. We cannot praise KingsWood Nursery highly enough.
